“It’s like when you talk to someone very important like Elton John or Dave Grohl and you ask something like “I know you’ve heard this before Dave Grohl”. The thing is: I found out, there was this idea when I was younger about: If I do “this”, “they” are gonna say “this” or “they” are gonna do “that”. There is a large amorphous “they”; who is essentially, your insecurities. Like They = Your own insecurities.
People might think that “they” is just something out there somewhere, when its actually something so internal.
You really should just do what you want, you really should just do what makes you happy, and maybe a couple of voices will chirp up an say “hey, who do you think you are?” and question what you are doing, but they’ll go away and won’t mean anything and the longer you are pursuing the thing that you are pursuing, people will eventually catch on, and if they don`t, Fuck them! It just doesnt matter as long as you are loving what you are doing.”
